[Q4.] WHAT IS PRE-ORDER?
A pre-order item means we do not have ready stock on hand. We place pre-order items in a batch with our suppliers, and every pre-order batch is normally open for order taking for 7-10 days. Upon receiving full payment, we will place your order with the supplier immediately after the particular batch is close.

[Q5.] WHEN TO MAKE PAYMENT FOR PRE-ORDER?
Just like purchasing ready stock, full payment is requested for pre-order item before we place your order with the supplier.
[Q6.] WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PRE-ORDER ITEM?
Pre-order items will normally reach us within 15 working days after the closing date of the batch. However, we can only offer estimates of when the pre-ordered batch will arrive as the time of shipment delivery is completely reliant on the supplier. This being said, your pre-order can arrive much early than anticipated or a little later.

[Q7.] DO PRE-ORDER ITEM LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE PICRURES SHOWN?
Yes! We got the actual product photos from suppliers, and we use actual product during photo shoot (posted in our FB page @ mottecloset), and we try our best to provide you as much detail photos as possible. Having that said, what you see is what you'll get!
[Q8.] CAN I MAKE CHANGES / CANCEL MY PRE-ORDER?
Yes. You can cancel your order anytime before the pre-order batch is closed. However, cancellation & changes for pre-order item is not allowed once the pre-order batch is closed. As the item has been executed exclusively for you, order will be submitted to the supplier immediately after the closing date.
*Please note that there will be a cancellation charges of 4% on your total order due to transaction charges.
[Q9.] I HAVE PRE-ORDERED FEW ITEMS IN DIFFERENT BATCH.CAN I COMBINE THE ORDERS AND DELIVERY TOGETHER?
No, sorry we do not keep your purchases with us to avoid missing or mishandled of items. All items are to deliver right after we receive it from the supplier.

[Q12.] HOW MUCH IS DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING?
Domestic: For all domestic Malaysia orders, your shipping cost is easily calculated by the shipping location and the weight of each item. This is easily calculated for you during the check out process . For orders made within Malaysia over the value of RM 200, we will happily ship your order for free!
International: For all international orders, your shipping quote will differ depending on which country you are located in and the weight of each item. This is easily calculated for you during the check out process. Please note: We do not deliver to international PO BOX addresses.

For all orders placed before 1pm each business day (Monday – Friday) your order will be processed, packed and dispatched within 48 hours.

[Q14.] HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ITEM TO ARRIVE?
Within Malaysia (Domestic) :
Orders within Malaysia are shipped using Pos Laju. Ready Stock orders will be processed and shipped within 48 hours, weekends and public holidays excluded. Comes with a tracking number for your convenience.

International Shipping (International) :
Orders shipped worldwide using Malaysia Registered Post. All international orders can take between 7–14 business days to be delivered , weekends and public holidays excluded. Comes with a tracking number for your convenience.

[Q15.] CAN I TRACK MY ITEM?Yes you can! Once your item is packed and dispatched you will receive a confirmation email accompanied with a tracking code and link, which you will be able to track online here (Domestic) or here (International) to see exactly where your item is.

[Q16.] CAN I ADD, REMOVE, CANCEL MY ITEMS AFTER MY ORDER IS PLACED?Once your order is submitted we begin processing your order immediately and therefore cannot add or remove items from your order. In addition, we unfortunately cannot modify or cancel your order at any given time, under any circumstances. Please ensure you are completely happy before placing an order as all sales are final.

If payment is pending / your batch is still open:
If payment has not been made, you can still make changes to your order. Just ignore your current order and place a new order.
If payment has been processed / your batch has closed:
Unfortunately, the system will not allow changes to your order after your submission of order form. This includes changing the size/colour of an item, removing an item, changing the delivery address or any payment methods. So please make sure that everything is correct before clicking the confirm button.
[Q18.] CAN I ORDER SOMETHING IN A DIFFERENT COLOUR OR SIZE IF IT'S LABELED SOLD OUT?

All items mailed out by Motte Closet have passed our quality checks and ensure that your item is at good condition; however, if in any case that you have received an order, which fits the refund criteria, please do email us at

within 7 days of receipt of your item. Whereby we will respond quickly and accordingly. Please quote your order reference number and problem facing (incorrect item / defect item). Allow us to rectify the issue by providing us as many details as possible if defect item take place, pictures of defect item will be required if needed.
For items that are deem defected by Motte Closet, we will have it exchange for the same item that is still in-stock, a full refund if that particular item is out of stock or credit notes redeemable during the next purchase. We will deliver a new piece of the item to you upon receiving the returned item without any additional charges depending on the situation, together with the reimbursement of postage fees that you paid to return the item to us.Other than the above mentioned, Motte Closet strictly do not entertain any forms of refunds.
